Ingredients
For the Strawberry Syrup:
2 cups Sliced Strawberries
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
To Make the Cocktail:
2 ounces Gin
2 ounces Campari
2 ounces Sweet Vermouth
Strawberries, for garnish
Ice Cubes

To Make the Strawberry Syrup:

In a small to medium saucepan combine the sliced strawberries, water and sugar over medium heat.
Bring to a boil and the reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cook for about 10-15 minutes until the strawberries are completely broken down and can be mashed easily.
Pour the mix over a fine mesh sieve set over a bowl and discard the solids. If you would like to infuse more strawberry flavor you can puree the strawberries and then strain through the sieve to eliminate any seeds.
Let cool.
To Mix the Cocktail:

In a cocktail mixing glass filled with ice pour the gin, campari, sweet vermouth and 1 ounce of strawberry syrup.
Stir until the cocktail is chilled, taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
Then, strain into two ice filled old fashioned glass, and garnish with a strawberry before serving.
