Through our experience of art, we experience our everyday world transformed and re-imagined. Patrick Adams seeks to call his audience to a place beyond one's normal experience of surroundings. Adams' impressionistic landscapes transport the viewer to familiar and almost dreamlike locales.
"My impulse is to transform these preoccupations into a visual structure as a way of making sense of the world and finding beauty in it. Feeling mostly bewilderment with moments of clarity can be a drag, but in paintings I like it."
Visual artist and writer Bill Claps meditates every morning. "I find that the most important thing to me is to listen and be open to what the world presents to me. It's amazing what happens to me when my mind is clear," says Claps.
