Kim Fonder loves texture and touch. Her paintings and furniture reflect her infatuation with these two characteristics. From the materials Fonder selects, to the way she crafts each piece; these two attributes remain her focus.

The etnografica series of work by Fonder are a reflection of the history of man that shows shallow marks on cave walls, shadows cast from wooden huts, straight roads to form connections; these are the lines and shapes that make us human.
