The Nude is one of the first styles that has allowed me to experiment on the power of the pure artistic gesture in which the color is deliberately dismissed. Black and white painting, by its sheer nature, is perfectly balanced. It enables me to only focus on the force of the stroke so that I can bring my subjects to life by scratching and carving the surface. This painting anticipates a series revolving around the following themes: the commodification of a living body and the tragedy of the human condition.
